Here it is a Wednesday evening and the Mrs. Herself and I are sitting out on our patio and watching nature on display. (We are at the top of a small ravine overlooking the Thames river here in London, Ontario.)
All is quiet and peaceful in the world so at 6 p.m. we went inside to watch the news.
Instead of turning on the local channel we switched to CNN to see what our neighbours down south of us were doing!
How do I begin?
First of all there are two hurricanes bearing down on the U.S. Gulf Coast and also the largest wildfires on record are burning up California!
COVID-19 is running rampant in just about every everywhere and the United States, with 5% of the world population, is suffering 25% of world-wide deaths!
Meanwhile, the RNC is holding their presidential nomination convention for Donald Trump this week and apparently he is giving Jesus Christ a run for his money!
Jeff Bezos now has a net worth of 200 BILLION dollars while at the same time 40 MILLION people are living in poverty!
A black guy (Jacob Blake) has been shot in the back by cops... (he survived) and the NBA has just refused to play three games tonight in protest.
A 17-year-old has been arrested in connection with a shooting of three people in Kenosha, Wisconsin at a protest sparked by the shooting of Jacob Blake. The suspect, Kyle Rittenhouse, of Antioch, Illinois, was taken into custody and is being held in the Lake County jail according to Police.
Oh, and did I mention that my neighbour George is being an asshole again by playing his bagpipes with his windows wide open!
