I don't particularly like cops because a lot of them are too pushy and abuse their authority, (These are also the traits that make them good cops!) but this time I have to side with the cops in the Breana Taylor case!
I don't know why, and it's really not important here, but the cops had a warrant to raid her apartment so it was all legal. This was a "no knock" warranty so they were allowed to bash in the front door and rush inside but as soon as they did SOMEONE INSIDE THE APARTMENT FIRED A GUN AT THEM!
This is an unfortunate turn of events since the occupants didn't hear the cops identify themselves (there is a witness that said they did) so it might have been self-defense, but this doesn't alter the fact that once the cops have been fired upon it's open season for anything that happens after that.
Breana Taylor didn't even fire the shot... but she was in the direct line of fire and unfortunately paid the price for being in the wrong place at the wrong time!
End of story!
The way I see it anyway!
