Allan:
Canada is first of all not in Europe which is close to MENA. (Middle East/North Africa) So it being farther away means less would notice if it were even available.
Second of all, it lets in skilled and educated young people of both genders who can help Canada, not horny mainly young men with no education and no basic ‘western’ societal norms who would depend on state welfare and harass women the other half of the time. (Like they now do in Europe)
But, Canada now has a problem: it needs low-skilled labour for its agriculture and service sectors so it might possibly and hopefully rely on Latin American immigration rather than on MENA economic migrant immigration. (The values of those immigrants don’t differ as much as the values of people from MENA.)
It was Canada’s wise immigration policy combined with the geographic position that allows it to have no problems with its immigrants.
