I don't know why I haven't really thought too much about this before... instead of just tacitly acknowledging it... but once I gave it some thought it became so obvious!
The United States is a country of oppression and suppression instead of the 'land of the free' that everyone keeps yapping about!
While every American goes on about the "land of the free and home of the brave" the free part sure doesn't exist.
Let me give you some examples bunky!
Voter Suppression: Republicans are doing their damndest to stop democratic voters from casting their ballots by any and all means possible.... legal or not!
Racial Suppression: The United States has spent over 400 years perfecting ways to suppress and oppress blacks, Indians and other minorities!
Wealth Suppression: There's a reason the majority of the wealth in the United States is owned by a very small fraction of the population. (With wealth suppression as an example there is more than just owning most of the wealth in the country. A lot of this is achieved by conglomerates like Big Banks, Big Pharma, Big Insurance, etc. and the biggest of all: The Military Industrial Complex!)
Yes folks, you can still do well in the United States but the further you go down the socio-economic ladder the harder it is to hold your own.....let alone get somewhere!
