I was just reading an article about how and when our ancestors migrated out of Africa..., and it seems there were a whole bunch of different pilgrimages way back before even Neanderthals and Denisovans made their journeys! (Denisova hominins are an extinct subspecies of archaic humans that ranged across Asia during the Lower and Middle Paleolithic.)
Unfortunately, none of them survived long term..., and it wasn't until a tribe of wandering Jews settled somewhere along the Black Sea that modern humans started to take over the known world!
