Why is the quality of life in Canada ranked #1?
Allan:
Canada is very simply a good place to be.
The economy is good enough, politics are sensible enough, education is great, health care is very solid, people are accepting of minorities and diversity, there is open space and mostly untouched beauty.
The public tries to be nice to each other, no one is particularly fearful of anything and religion is not something we discuss.
A woman has the right to make her own reproductive choices, the state does not have a right to supervise our bedroom activities and we don't need guns to successfully defend our properties.
We value prosperity and view the rich as lucky or criminal and expect them to be socially responsible to prove they are decent people.
Our social programs mostly work.
We recognize that we are all in this together and we want to keep things good and getting better.
At the end of the day, it is rather difficult to conceive of a universally acceptable plan that would make things better.

P.S. Pass this on!
