Perhaps the greatest and cruellest injustice perpetrated on the American public was when Ronald Reagan (the modern Republican theory of benefits for the rich and shit for the poor was well established by then) told people he was going to give breaks to the rich because it would "trickle-down" to everyone else.
In actual fact, all it did was illustrated in this drawing from the mid-80s!
Yup, it "trickled-down" on the average person alright!!!!
That the Republicans were able to mislead and deceive the American public into thinking they were for the ordinary guy instead of the "corporate elites" for the past seventy years (basically since the end of the second world war) is a grim testament to their malevolent and vicious policies that have given the short end of the stick to the average Joe on everything from health care to livable wages while benefitting the corporate fat cats at an unprecedented level!
